Oil on original canvas in untouched condition, paint now very dirty with a fine but stable craquelure running throughout the work, stretcher marks also showing, with a broader splitting of the craquelure in the lower left and right corners, apparently unsigned, in its original moulded giltwood frame which is now equally looking rather tatty, no inscriptions or labels verso.
Came for sale from the same house at Lot 1162, so may well be related to that hunt.
