There is a few tiny holes to the silk of the fan or banner being held aloft by the left hand female figure and to the trees above the scholar, there are small patches of staining to the ground particularly lower right by the long figure of a lady, there appears to be the odd small repair and overpainted area to some of the trees, otherwise generally discoloured with age.
