A Chinese rosewood brush pot, possibly Zitan, Qing dynasty, carved as curling lotus petals to the cylindrical body, 18cm.

There are some fine surface cracks to the timber in places, generally all over, there is a crack to one side which has been coloured in at some stage to disguise it which extends from top to bottom on the exterior and two thirds of the way up on the interior but is quite a fine crack. Some scratching to the base consistent with age.
