A pair of British pottery figures of lions, c.1820, the yellow glazed lions modelled on oblong bases, with one front paw resting on an orb, their tails raised behind, sponge work base, 16cm., restorations

Lion with right front paw on the globe has losses to all four projecting teeth and a completely restored tail, there is also a feint hairline crack extending the full height of the plinth just next to the ball.
Second lion with its front left paw on the globe has losses to three of the projecting teeth, a completely restored tail, a large area of restoration across the base which is rather messy underneath and across the back paws. Probably half of the base has been restored on this as can be seen from the sponge work on the exterior.
The lions are 16.4cm long, 14.5cm high and 7.7cm wide.
