Lot 823 , Silver trowel & basting spoon.

A Victorian provincial silver presentation trowel with ivory handle and engraved inscription, Josiah Williams & Co, Exeter, 1860, 13.75in, together with a silver Old English pattern basting spoon, Eley & Fearn, London, 1800.

Inscription on the trowel reads " Presented to Mr Archibald Vickers on the laying of the Foundation Stone of a Wesleyan Chapel at Crews Hole in the Kingswood Circuit, 10th September 1860".
Trowel in good order, the handle also but it doesn't quite sit flush with the collar.Marks clear. The spoon has some slight wear to the tip and there are a set of initials engraved on the terminal. Marks clear.
