A Chinese blue and white censer, Transitional period, c.1640, painted with four sages and an attendant in a landscape, three seated around a table playing weiqi in a bamboo grove, unglazed base, 21.5cm., cracks to base, rim chip

Firing cracks to the interior of the censer and a large circular crack extending a large way around the base of the censer, staining to this on the exterior, there is also a straight hairline crack running across the base, there is a 7mm wide rim chip and some occasional scratching to the glaze.
