Cleaned, relined and restored 10-20 years ago. Canvas now starting to sag. A fine craquelure throughout the work which looks like it is starting to dry out.
Overall has the appearance of having a fair amount of overpainting.
Old frame now rather tatty, Christie's stencil number verso 464YZ. Old label verso with details of the sitter.
