An unusual Chinese famille rose ‘fishermen’ brushpot, bitong, Yongzheng period (1723-35), painted with four fishermen with nets and fishing lines and an old man and boy carrying a basket on a rocky outcrop with trees, the foliage with some highlights in rose pink enamels, unglazed ring to the base, 15.2cm high, 18.5cm diameter, old repairs

Condition:
There is a crack to the rim extending to the foot with some tiny filled holes to each side where rivet repairs have been removed. There is a large splinter chip to the interior with some plaster filler in the middle and an associated crack extending from one side to the other which can be seen on the underside also, please see photos, otherwise typical minor scratches and glaze imperfections.
