A rare gold and garnet demi-parure, France, second half 19th century, comprising: a brooch and pair of earrings, each of roundel design suspending a rope twist fringe of pendants, set with cushion-shaped garnets in closed gold settings, brooch 4.6cm, earrings 3.2cm, original hook and clip fittings, each with French assay marks for 18ct gold, earrings with maker's mark AP, possibly with spear, combined gross weight approximately 10.5 grams, original fitted case
