The inscription on this medallion pendant reads 'plus qu'hier, moins que demain', or 'more than yesterday, less than tomorrow', a line taken from a love poem written by poet and playwright Rosemond Gérard (1866-1953) to her husband Edmond Rostand, the author of 'Cyrano de Bergerac'.
