An early 19th century framed sampler by Sarah Crowhurst aged 10 years, dated 1811. Very finely embroidered, on fine linen, with a line of alphabet, then a religious verse and a large central spaniel motif between stylistic trees and verse below, 32,5cm wide x 40cm high. Condition - the colours have very slightly faded and there are a few light stains to the linen, expected with an embroidery this age. There are no holes. The frame has slight wear.
