Three framed and glazed samplers, including a 1740 banded sampler by Mary Jelson, 20.5cm x 24cm, embroidered with three various verses, together with a later, smaller, alphabet sampler dated 1760, 15cm x 14cm and another dated 1810 by Frances Chilton, worked with alphabet, verse, spot motifs and vining border - 32cm x 30cm. Condition - some staining and fading to the two 18th century samplers, the later 19th century sampler has three holes and one silk motif has bled, but the colours are strong.
