A large Chinese bronze rectangular censer and cover, Xuande seal mark, and a ‘plum blossom and chilong’ bronze censer, both 19th century, the large rectangular censer cast in relief with a band of lotus between repeating scrolls, applied with a pair of animal mask swing handles, the cover pierced with wan motifs, elongated seal script ‘Xuande nian Zhi’ mark, 25cm wide, repair to cover, the plum bud shaped censer cast in high relief and openwork with three clambering chilong dragons, the base with plum brass blossom branch, 10cm wide, small losses

The large rectangular bronze censer, later polished, has typical minor casting imperfections. The cover has several solder repairs to splits in the trellis work design, otherwise in reasonable condition. The smaller bronze censer, later polished, has a small manufacturing patch repair and other typical minor casting imperfections there is a loss to one of the chilong legs, Otherwise in reasonable condition.
