A Retro sapphire and multi-gem double clip brooch, circa 1940, of heart-shaped outline, set with a profusion of claw-set oval and cushion-shaped gemstones of various hues including varicoloured sapphires, zircons, garnets, aquamarines and peridots, accented with foliate motifs in polished gold and a line of cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, separating into two clip brooches, combined length 5.5cm

Condition:
Very attractive design, in good condition. Largest (yellow) sapphire measuring approximately 8.0 x 5.9 x 5.4mm, calculated to weigh approximately 2.00 carats. Some typical minor inclusions, some surface-reaching, some minor wear to facet edges. Gross weight 32 grams.
