An unusual Victorian gold and diamond necklace, late 19th century, composed of spherical gold beads, set to the front with a series of cushion-shaped diamonds totalling approximately 1.80 carats, the centre with a hook for a pendant, length 39cm, gross weight 40 grams

Condition:
In good condition, gold tests as approximately 14-15ct but unmarked, some areas of wear to high carat bloom on gold. Links overall secure and in good condition. Central diamond estimated to weigh approximately 0.30 carats, approximately 4.5 x 4.5mm. Central link would have once suspended a pendant but this is now deficient - the hook remains. Clasp original and secure. Very beautifully made, very unusual and wearable Victorian design in good condition.
