Dry, matt finish apart from Kahalet’s underbelly, which has a slight gloss sheen; vertical drip above his neck, clearly visible; light craquelure throughout; frame almost certainly original; small chip to one corner; evidence of old woodworm to one vertical stretcher. Known provenance: privately entered by Arab horse lovers and in their possession for well over forty years.
