Condition:
Pencil on paper which was probably a buff tone but is now discoloured to a mostly even darker near sepia colour, highlighted by the two tab marks at the top and bottom which are bleached white, inscribed 'Constant Lambert a drawing by Michael Ayrton 1946'. Plain card mount and slim glazed frame with an extensive inscription verso giving details of the purchase at Christie's Lot 234 July 2006 as one of a pair, together with a later Christie's Sale Lot 330 29th September 2016 and a Rowley Gallery label.
