A 19th century sampler by Marion Ronald dated 1846, worked with various alphabets in cross stitch and buttonhole stitch, the lower section depicting a large thirteen windowed house surrounded by various spot motifs, a dog, birds, trees and vases of flowers in brown, red, blue and green, maple framed, 33cm wide x 39cm high. Condition - the central section a large stain across and down it, the roof has blue thread missing and the top of the sampler is faded, maple frame is good.
