Condition:
Oil on original canvas in good clean condition, canvas tight, slight stretcher marks showing along with some slight vertical lines running in the paint particularly in the blue of the sky above the Poplar trees on the river bank, apparently unsigned, title plaque on the frame which is an old gilt gesso example in good order. Provenance; purchased from the East Street Gallery , 13 East Street, Ashburton , Devon, 5 to 6 years ago, fully attributed. Emily Weeks has viewed the work online and expressed some doubt as to the full attribution but states she would need to see it in the flesh to make a full judgement.
