Condition:
Oil on canvas relined many years ago, paint rather dark and dirty, canvas stable, one or two signs of old retouching particularly in the dark area to the left above the urn, small scattered surface dirt marks, apparently unsigned, gilt gesso scroll frame with a number of losses and also drying out and starting to crack, label verso on the stretcher for Grundy & Smith Ancient and Modern Print Sellers ... of Manchester.
