Condition:
Somewhat neglected condition, the overall image has been cropped at the edges including the loss of part of his christian name to the signature, there is a pronounced scuffed scratch running diagonally near the lower left corner which also has a crease mark, further light scratching around the edges of the work which looks to be from it being loose in its frame, also some scuffing in the paint particularly near the lower left corner, otherwise perhaps looks a little dirty, a small tear crease near 3 o'clock on the right side, other small flaws elsewhere, colours remain bright, back of the card with a numeral inscription 4235 along with title in pencil, overall this has the appearance of being a work that may well have been painted for illustrative purposes, comes with a rather tatty carved giltwood frame.
