Oil on original canvas in honest untouched condition, might benefit from a clean but no real faults noted, housed in a later plain moulded gilt frame, inscription to the back stating 'painted in New York 1936' by repute the artist was enamoured with the sitter and painted her when the Opera Company were on tour in New York, for related lots to the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company see Gorringe's Music Sale 23rd October.
