Information supplied by Geraint Richard Hall

The medium of this painting is acrylic on board, not oil on board.
My father's title for it was "The Jungle". He completed it in May 1972. The month before, he completed a similar painting called "Nude with Cacti" - which, unlike this one, doesn't include any spider plants.
It was previously sold at auction on 16th September, 2008, at Bonhams Knoghtsbridge, for £1,080 (Buyer fees included). Prior to this, I know it belonged to Chez Gudenian, who was an old friend of the family, for about 30 years.
Also, for the record, Clifford Hall, although he did exhibit with them occasionally, was never a member of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA). But he was a member of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers (NS) as well as a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters(ROI). So the correct way to write his name with post-nominal titles is: Clifford Hall, ROI, NS

Condition:
Acrylic on board in honest untouched condition, possibly in need of a light clean but no real faults noted, housed in the original now slightly tatty gilt frame.
