A Victorian giltwood and gesso overmantel mirror, of ornate arched form with foliate scroll and shell crest, and laurel leaf moulded frame, width 150cm, height 196cm

Condition:
Overall of good bright gilt colour, probably re-gilt at some point but now a little toned down and with some rubbing showing a mauve tone from beneath as well as some flaking showing the white gesso, the top crest has numerous small cracks running through the moulding but looks to be intact, glass plate of quality but probably a later replacement.
