Condition:
Oil on canvas fairly thinly painted except for the face which is more finished, some craquelure in the paint of the face, otherwise grid lines showing particularly where the paint is thinner, a little dirty but essentially fair order, housed in probably the original gilt gesso frame which is now a little tatty, Christie's stencil number 929JJ and ink initials E.M. on the lower stretcher.
