An ornate pair of late Victorian silver candlesticks by Mappin Bros., with waisted square columns and decorated with baskets of flowers, swags, dolphin supports, masks and paterae, Sheffield, 1897/1900, height 31.2cm, weighted.

Condition:
Numerous small dents and dings around the sides of both bases. Several small dings to the top of one base and a couple of dings to the same place on the other base. Hallmarks clear, but with some rubbing to one maker's mark. Some wear to the decoration in places, commensurate with age and some use.
