A pair of Chinese pale celadon jade circular plaques, late 19th century,
each reticulated and carved with a boy riding a qilin to both sides, the stone of good even tone,

Condition:
The stone is a good even tone with no obvious inclusions. There is some occasional grubbiness to the Pearse work which will probably clean off well otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or losses to the Jade. Both of the wood stands have been broken and re-glued Provenance: The jade was collected by the current owner's father who worked in the Far East, on his death it was left to the current owner's mother.
