An early 19th century French horn snuff box, inset with a miniature of a reclining nude, 3.25in. and a white metal mounted hardstone snuff box, depicting Venus and Hercules, 3.5in.

Horn box- There are 3 splits/cracks around the side of the lid and there is a large chip to the base rim.
Hardstone box- Diameter of miniature is 65mm. The miniature and glass cover have become detached from the lid. There is visible adhesive around the perimeter of the miniature now that it has been separated from the cover. The area below the miniature now visible has a rusty complexion. The glass cover is quite dirty. No visible damage to the hardstone on the lid or the base. There are two marks on the top rim of the base, one is a crossed keys motif in an arched surround, the other is fairly illegible.
