A pair of large Chinese celadon ground famille rose two handled vases, second half 19th century, each painted with court scenes within borders of birds, flowers and fruit, the trumpet shaped neck applied with a pair of zoomorphic handles and with a ruyi head moulded collar, 62.5cm high

One vase neck is extensively broken with some white filler to losses around the area and some poor quality restoration on the neck, the second vase is in slightly better condition with a section of the neck broken and reglued, one of the handles has become detached and restuck but with a filler area replacement to middle section, otherwise in reasonable condition.
