Oil on original canvas in honest untouched condition, canvas remains tight, paint although under glass looks a little dirty with some fine craquelure spreading throughout, notably at 12 o'clock where there is some separation in the paint showing the white gesso from below, a very little bit of paint flaking in the sky near the cliffs showing as white specks and some further broader craquelure running through the waves, signed and dated lower right, housed in the original gilt gesso frame which is now a little tatty, a very old faded label verso which looks like it gives the original title.
