An Italian infantry helmet cabaset c.1580, polished steel raised from a single plate, medial ridge with pear stalk finial, pierced for rosettes, flared brim with turned over edge, 20cms tall
Provenance: the Papal Armoury; and London dealers Fenton & Sons Ltd after 1918.
Condition: good condition, no pitting, evidence of cleaning to outside, brass rosettes all missing.
