Lot 413 , A. Corbould, two oils on panel
Alfred Chantry Corbould (1852-1920), two oils on panel, Portrait of Sir F.C. Burnand, Editor of Punch, not signed but inscribed verso and dated 1902, 20 x 26cm and a study of a lady rider and terrier, monogrammed, 34 x 22cm
Condition:
- Burnand a little dirty with one or two small dents and knocks but otherwise good, extensive inscription incised into the panel which is rather hard to read, housed in an overpainted original frame
- Lady rider looks to have discoloured varnish and otherwise a little dirty with some old dents and slight scratching down the right side, monogrammed lower left, matching frame to the other work.
