A French mahogany centre table, with simulated marble painted pine top, W.187cm D.80cm H.76cm Condition: Top with fair wear and tear and numerous losses of original paint work and rubbing around the edges, some small loss to the timber in the corners of one end, underframe of good even rich dark mahogany tone, X shaped stretcher shows some wear and blooming in the varnish and a few small losses of veneer, the lyre shaped motif to the base has lost its central brass rods. Original casters missing, now has small pad feet concealed below, a few fine cracks running up one of the legs, another with crackling towards the top and bottom of the column, no sign of there ever being woodworm.
