A late 19th century French ormolu quarter repeating carriage alarm clock, in gorge case, with enamelled dial and movement striking on two gongs, 6in.

Case in good condition of a polished brass tone, dial dirty with what looks to be a small restored chip to the lower right hand corner almost hidden by bezelling, all glass panels look good, movement looks rather dirty and neglected, escapement looks original, movement does run then stops, repeat reluctant to function but will go given some patience, repeat also seems to be out of sync. Is "ticking over" strike not opercuting
