Overall a dark brown to blackish oak colour, with some worm holes rounding and other scuff marks to the seat, the main uprights form the pegs that run through the seat with old nails to the left and right of these running from the top of the seat downwards, old splits and scratches showing in the front and back panels and the tip of one side now missing, wear and small losses to the feet, there have been some suggestions that the construction of this stool is not correct for one of the period so please ask for additional photographs if you require them.
