Shepherd and flock in woodland
11.75 x 8.5in.
Estimate £400-600

Oil on an old wooden panel in honest untouched condition, paint looks rather dirty with some discolouration to the varnish, a fine but stable craquelure running through the paint, possibly the hint of a fine split just to the right of 12 o'clock in the blue of the sky, looks to be a hint of a signature in the lower left bramble patch though it is not entirely clear whether it is signed or not, housed in an old carved giltwood frame which is in good order, Arthur Tooth label verso and what looks to be a Christie's stencil number 662.
