A pair of Chinese famille rose 'Mandarin' hexagonal baluster vases, Qianlong period, each painted with court figures next to a pavilion in a landscape, the moulded white ground decorated with flowers and scrolls, the neck applied with a pair of zoomorphic handles, height 27.5cm, slight damage

The first vase has a section of the rim broken and restuck with a triangular chip immediatley above it and one of the handles has been broken off and reglued with a chip loss on the lower section and has some wear to the gilding on the edge of the raised reserves, the second vase has the upper section of one handle broken and reglued, some occasional wear to the gilding otherwise in reasonable condition.
