A handsome George III silver épergne, by Thomas Heming, engraved with the Heneage family crest, with lattice pierced and rocaille chased domed base with pad feet and eight detachable scrolling arms above, four with circular shallow dishes with original glass inserts and four with pierced hanging baskets, all below a central pierced oval basket, London, 1763/65 (one basket unmarked), 177 oz.

One of the hanging basket's is unmarked. Two of the other basket's each have repairs to both ends of their handles and the handles are also unmarked. The large dish has been repaired under one handle (visible patch and solder). One of the glass inserts has a chip to the rim. One arm has no visible hallmark. Visible old repairs to the inside of the pierced neck of the base (several patches). Main hallmarks clear.
