The case has a hinged cover. There are occasional minor scuffs and scratches to the ivory, the side depicting egrets or cranes has tiny losses to the inlaid on the stem of the plant and the tip of one flower petal, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks, unsigned.
