An Empire style ormolu lampe bouilotte, on circular pierced and chased base, with similar stem supporting three scroll branches, with caryatid finials and adjustable tole frame gilt with griffins, lyres and stylised foliage on black grounds, height 32in.

The lamp has good quality ormolu castings but is very grubby indeed and would benefit from a clean or possibly regilding, the action of the rise and fall of the shade all works well, the tin shade itself has deterioation and cracking and flaking to the black and gilt decoration on the exterior and some flaking to the white finish on the interior with some general discolouration from age and dirt, the lamp is fitted for electricity and has a sliding switch on the circular base which please note has an ivory finial, otherwise in reasonable condition.
