A Japanese ivory okimono netsuke of Shoki and oni, Meiji period, engraved two character signature, height 5.1cm

There are fine age cracks to the ivory visible on the back of Shoki and the bell which he is holding and on his left shoulder, the bell is tied to a ribbon and there appears to be a small loss to the tip of the ribbon which is now partially work down with age, there is general wear to the carving consistent with age and use and engrained dirt to the low relief areas.
