A Chinese jadeite and coral mounted silver-gilt trinket box, with 19th century carved coral decoration and feet and adapted Chinese jadeite plaques, mounted on an American silver-gilt box by Edward Farmer of New York and stamped Sterling, 10.1 x 10.1cm. height 9cm

Please note the silver gilt box on which the jade coral is mounted is American, stamped Sterling by Edward Farmer of New York, the jadeite panel to the cover has a minute loss on one corner. Two of the jadeite plaques have a pierced rectangle to the centre and the two other jadeite plaques have been re-shaped to match this as it cuts through the engraved decoration to the jadeite plaques. The feet are mounted with Chinese beads decorated with shou medallion. There is some tarnish to the silver gilt on the exterior, otherwise it is in reasonable condition
