Estimate £2,000-3,000
Both tables look to have seen some repolishing some years ago and retain a fairly high gloss, the first table is ever so slightly lighter in colour than the other, the brass stringing just starting to lift on one side, and stands ever so slightly at a tilt compared with the other approx a 5mm difference in height at one end but not the other, the brass stringing from one free side of the frieze has popped out and needs replacing otherwise brass inlay is good, underframe is overall in good order but for one small section of missing veneer, castors look to be original and mounts are intact, second table is ever so slightly darker in colour to the top and has signs of old ink stains and some surface denting and scuffing, brass stringing just starting to lift on one side, brass stringing to the right side of the frieze is just starting to lift and the brass chequer effect to the bottom edge of the frieze is missing or damaged for over half of its length, underframe again in good order but with a fair quantity of veneer missing from the uprights and the brass stringing popping out from one of the uprights, castors look original. Internally both tables have had later red baize fitted. Overall these tables do require some restoration but should restore to good effect.
