A late 18th century Austrian portico clock with musical movement, Carl Wurm, Vienna, the 5.25 inch enamel dial with Arabic numerals and central subsidiary calendar dial, the three train grand sonnerie movement with silk suspension and anchor escapement, signed Carl Wurm in Wien to the gong support, the musical movement housed in the base with pin barrel on a comb playing a tune automatically and on demand, height 19in.

The case: evidence of worn in columns, filled with black wax, some shrinkage cracks to the drum case, slight wear to gilding and ebonised finish.
Dial: Numerous scratches to the enamel, especially around the winding square, some chips to winding holes and securing screws, number of losses to enamel on edge of dial with associated hairline cracks, especially at 3 and 9. Hands have red surface rust. Bezel dirty and outer section lacks gilding.
Movement: very dirty, will require complete overhaul, steel tarnished, some rust is evident, hammers lacking, gongs with surface rust and some light pitting, brass stand tarnished, going train functions, strike partially functions, lacks pendulum and key. Musical movement is dirty but functions, comb complete with some very minor surface rust, signed RZEBITSCHEK IN PRAG, No.2091. 24939. Two teeth damaged on main spring barrel.
