Vitesse/Speed Goddess. A glass mascot by René Lalique, introduced on 17/9/1929, No.1160 in rare amethyst tinted satin and frosted glass, signed moulded in relief 'R.LALIQUE' with the double tailed 'q' in the signature to one side of the base and smaller 'FRANCE' to the other side, with radiator cap ring base, Marcilhac no.1160, p.503, Weiner p.53, height overall 20.5cm.

A chip out of the base near the Lalique signature which is covered by the mount otherwise good condition. Mascot rotates in the mount, some old sticky tape has been wrapped around the base where it meets the mount. Mount not readily removeable.
