A pair of Turkish silver mounted mahogany flintlock pistols, circa 1800, showing traces of gilding, the barrels cast with foliate motifs and scrolls, stocks carved with scallop motifs and scrolls, the silverwork with stylised trophies, scrolls, flowers and palaces in landscapes 48cm.

Both with various small dents, scratches and knocks to the woodwork. Silver inlay to the butt of one pistol has pulled away from the woodwork, there are a few wormholes in that area. One silver medallion is a later replacement. Possibly a very fine engraved monogram to the tops of the barrels MMS?, locks working, decoration to most of the silver and ironwork is a little worn.
