An Andrew John Milne for Heal and Sons rosewood twin pillar extending dining table, circa 1958, the oval top with single leaf, on tapered ebonised columns and bronzed tripods, with a set of eight matching dining chairs, with padded backs and seats, including two carvers, and matching sideboard. Top of the table has faded down to a golden honeyed tone, leaf is the same colour, stem is different timber with a darker tone, gilt finish to base, has wear to to the lacquering, and original hardwood pad feet
Sideboard is faded to a gingerish tone and has water damage to the top, one drawer handle is missing, some veneer lost from the left side and internally there is only one shelf, legs with wear to lacquering and original wooden pad feet, also comes with a matching rosewood shelf in a darker more original colour.
Chairs - all are rather faded, upholstery is worn, sagging and dirty. Four of the chairs are wobbly in the joints.
Overall honest condition just in need of repolishing, was originally purchased new by Sir Freddie Laker and by repute Laker Airlines was conceived around this table.
