Oil on an old oak panel which has the very slightest outward bulge horizontally across the middle, the paint is extremely dirty with a number of fine scattered dirt spots, some fine but stable craquelure and some slight bitumous bubbling in the darkest areas, appears to be unsigned, housed in probably the original gilt gesso frame which is also rather tired and dirty, label on the back is for E F Watson, Carver, Gilder and Plate Glass Facture of 201 Piccadilly.
