An early 19th century Swiss 18ct gold and enamelled oval snuff box, the hinged lid decorated with scene of a lady and her suitors within a gold and enamelled scrolling border, the sides and base with a deep blue guilloche enamel ground within a scrolling border, maker's mark for S&D, Geneva? circa 1820, (French poincon marks to base rim), gross 58.5 grams, 72mm.

There are a few very minor tiny chips to the enamel around the box in general, only really visible with a loupe and the surface of the enamel in places has some light scrathces commensurate with age and use. There is a small split to the gold to the rear of the lid close to the hinge and there is a small crack to the white enamel at the same point. Marks faint. Large are of visible scratches to the gold on the interior of the lid. Overall condition is otherwise good.
