A Chinese sgraffito yellow glazed 'dragon' dish, Kangxi six character mark, Guangxu period, decorated with two confronting dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid clouds, diameter 18cm, broken and repaired

Provenance: UK Private Collection. The vendor's grandfather formed a large collection of several hundred pieces of Chinese porcelain and works of art in the 1920's. The majority of the pieces were brought mainly from specialist dealers and auctioneers in East Anglia and the South of England; thence by family descent.

There is fine crazing to the yellow glaze all over, the dish has been broken in half and two sections of the rim restored, this restoration has not been sprayed over this is purely along the lines of the actual break which is mostly clean with some filler around some splinters on the twin section of the rim, some kiln grit around the foot rim consistent with age.
